Amazing effect!

Fantastic!

I also like the idea of having a slider. could be very helpful for many different material effects.

thanks,

bob

I currently implemented it so negative emissiveness is interpeted as transmission so you will lose the ability to make the material emissive. This was neccecairy to fit all the render data into 3 buffers.

And what if somebody is often and repeatedly helpful - or posts really stunning videos? Smiley

(Well, if the system works this way, be it...)

That transmission slider would be very welcome I guess. Not as if I modelled too many rooms with curtains but you never know...

atleast we coud have an option to arrange the forum posts as per members reputation.. there are magnificient works that are lost under these 29 pages of posts... just relevancy of the last post isnt enough.. for me atleast.. how many think the same as i do??

I've been trying for weeks to get this to work on my own.  This works very nice!  Thanks a lot for your settings!

Morten.

It would not be possible to include this beautiful tutorial (-GeoHow) of transparencies curtains on tips and tricks? Including images?

Hi Gilson, I think it's better if Remko implemented this effect directly in the material, so that you don't need to use single-sided surfaces:

In theory we could add a transmission slider because each material already supports it. Transmission would make this kind of effect really easy!

im not sure if this is what you meant, but can a material like this just be added to the Lumion material library so we could just pick it and all the settings, etc would be correct?

would be nice to select that default material then tweak as we see fit from there.

Hi Bob, it's a bit of a hack really, since the curtain model would have to be single-sided (i.e. invisible from one side). I think it's better to have proper support for light transmission, as Remko suggested.
