Cinema 4D: How do I export a model to Lumion?

Method 1:
Export a Collada (DAE) file in Cinema 4D, and import it in Lumion.

Cinema 4D has built-in Collada (DAE) exporter.
Make sure that you are using the latest version of Cinema 4D.



Exporter options:

- Select the Export triangles option in export dialogue window.




Method 2: Export an FBX file in Cinema 4D, and import it in Lumion
Cinema 4D has built-in FBX exporter.
Make sure that you are using the latest version of Cinema 4D.

Use FBX 2010/2011 or newer instead of FBX6.

Other methods
Alternatively, you could try to import 3DS or OBJ files directly from Cinema 4D but these file formats are less reliable and do not always include all data such as textures.


Troubleshooting

Please note that Cinema4D is not officially supported by Lumion.
