This movie delivered the most complete package. The winner was able to combine great style, flawless rendering and excellent camera work all into one movie. The movie is very successful at setting an attractive mood and is really able to create an impact with an audience.

The movie also works well from a functional perspective because it provides a clear view of the subject and in the end really helps selling the idea. The pacing is pleasant and the overall impact of the movie is memorable because it combines beautiful shots with images that really communicate some of the design elements very well. The bookcase for example is something people will remember after watching this movie.

Great looks, great subject, great execution and great skill are what makes this movie the winner of the Lumion 2011 competition.

SECOND PLACE
2.000 USD + Lumion 2.0 Ultimate license
Realidad Visual Arquitectónica by Nicolás Wehncke
This movie really shows what Lumion is all about. It’s almost impossible to imagine the amount of time needed to create movies of all the hotels, houses and other subjects without Lumion. It’s a staggering number of high quality visualizations all made possible by Lumion.

The overall setup of the movie is great because it shows so many designs at a speed just enough to keep things interesting without making the movie chaotic.

If you look at all the individual movies you can see there is so much variety and quality in this movie it is almost unbelievable and that is why this movie deserves the second place.

THIRD PLACE
1.000 USD + Lumion 2.0 Ultimate license
RenderCORE Studios
On many levels this movie is able to capture the audience. First of all the design is stunning. The water in the swimming pool combined with the rough ocean in the back really leaves a unique impression.

When you look at the small bridge extending to the terrace on the island you cannot help yourself dreaming about one day living in a house like this.

The camerawork is very well done and some of the shots very successfully enhance the image of an already great looking design and that is why this movie wins this year’s third place.
